One (1) mill of real estate tax that is designated for fire protection. There are approximately 163 men and women volunteers that provide emergency service responses to the residents of Butler Township. In the year of 2009, in addition to responding to 1,620 incidents the Fire Departments spent 11,375 hours of training. Any person desiring to become a member of the Volunteer Fire Departments in Butler Township should contact the Fire Chiefs. Being a member of a volunteer Fire Department is a way to volunteer your time and talents for your community and to make new friends.
